The town car showed up right on time for the drive to the airport. Check in was no problem. Then we did security and customs and wandered the shops a bit before going to the lounge to wait for our plane.
It was good to eventually settle into our first class “accommodations” for the long flight home. I mostly read and tried to sleep (and of course eat). Paul watched some movies. We were met by a town car and headed home. Good to be home.
The trip was truly an amazing experience and one of our best vacations. The Chinese were friendly and funny and justifiably proud of their country and its rich history…and the countryside is truly beautiful.
