September 16 (Wednesday) – Juizhaigou/Chongqing

Slept in today and decided to pass on any more sightseeing. We took a walk on the trails that circled the hotel…big hotel, long walk. The setting is lovely with the mountains clearly visible. This morning was the clearest morning yet in the mountains. In the afternoon we headed to the airport for the next leg of our journey.
Our new hotel is in down town Chongqing, right on the river front. The lobby is on street level at the top of the hotel…all the rooms are down the hill. The room is a suite with one and a half baths, a game table set up with mahjong tiles (too bad we don’t know how to play), a large sitting area and the bedroom area. On top of all that we have a large balcony overlooking the river. The room is truly superior.
